About
I've been role playing since I was 13, that puts me at roughly 16 years of gaming. I have played in no order: Rifts, B.E.S.M, BBC, WoD (WA, VM, MR, EX, HR, & MA), Jovian, AD&D, D&D 3.0, D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, Aberrant, Mutants & Masterminds, Champions, Marvel Super Hero's, Star Wars, DBZ, Shadow Run (2nd, 3rd, 4th Ed), Gurps, Palladium, and a few others I can't remember, as well as a couple home spun games. I've played so many games because I like to keep an open mind and am willing to try any system.
I am a by the book kinda gamer, some call me a rules lawyer and some call me a buzz kill. I think that in some cases common sense applies, and I faithfully follow the belief that GM has last word. At the same time I don't like to play in games where rules are considered but not really followed. Playing by the rules adds a challenge that might not be there otherwise, and if I'm not challenged I don't see much point in playing the game; just start me at level 20 with a million gold and let me retire the character on day one. I want to EARN what I have in games.
"I role play, I don't roll play." Honestly I do both, I like to learn systems and build the best possible characters I can. I don't min/max and I don't "cheese" what I do is read, learn and apply. I can write a four page back story, with a two page summary of relationships, and a one page write up of detailed gear, role play my way (if given the chance) through a game with almost no need for dice and still make the best possible character for my concept that I can.
"About You" is in reference to role playing, or at least thats how I'm taking it. So the only non role playing information I'm going to release without being asked directed is: I'm clean, I don't drink, smoke or use any drugs and I have the particular mind set of "I am right until proven wrong, once I am proven wrong, I won't be wrong about it any more."
